Let’s be honest: New Year’s resolutions start out the same way every year.

It is harder to bail on your goals when someone is expecting you to show up. A friend can cheer you on, remind you why you started, and send the text we all need sometimes: “Get up. We’re going.” You can also join a class or program where others share similar goals. Community makes the journey easier and way more fun.
4. Expect Setbacks (Because Life Happens).
Missed a workout? Ordered fries instead of a salad? Slept through your 6 a.m. alarm three days in a row?
Guess what: you are human. The key is not being perfect. It is being willing to start again, even after your goals take a nap. A stumble is not a failure. It is just a plot twist.
5. Celebrate Every Win (Even the Tiny Ones).
Drank more water today? Woo! Walked around the block? Incredible! Chose stairs instead of the elevator? Look at you go. Celebrating small victories helps keep the motivation alive and makes the journey feel good instead of like a chore.
