SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — If you’re a music lover, then this weekend on the Jersey Shore is the weekend for you.
Several big names are performing up and down the beach, from modern hip hop and R&B legends to some of country music’s biggest stars.
And if you prefer to see more up and coming local talent, the ongoing North 2 Shore Festival has you covered.
Here are some of the biggest shows to watch this weekend.
Stone Pony Summer Stage featuring T-Pain and Jake Owen
Before he joins forces with Pitbull this fall, hip hop star T-Pain brings his Mansion in Wiscansin Party tour to the Stone Pony’s outdoor Summer Stage in Asbury Park on Friday — with special guests NandoSTL and Young Cash. Tickets are $65.
And on Saturday, the Pony hosts country star Jake Owen on its outdoor stage, featuring Owen Riegling. They’ll be preceded and followed by performances inside the venue from the Chris Rendell Band and Chris Gullace Band. Tickets range from $49.50 to $60.
Barefoot Country Music Fest
There’s more live country music on tap in Wildwood this weekend, as the Barefoot Country Music Fest hits the boardwalk from Thursday through Sunday.
Heavy hitters like Luke Bryan and Keith Urban lead an absolutely stacked lineup including Kane Brown, Scotty McCreery, Bret Michaels of Poison and the Beach Boys. It begins with a Thursday night kick-off show at Seaport Pier headlined by Old Dominion, with tickets at just $20 if bought locally.
The rest of the fest, however, will cost you a pretty penny — or several, as general admission tickets have sold out, leaving only pricey VIP passes.
A Night of Love AC/Eric Roberson and Avery*Sunshine
R&B stars Keyshia Cole and Trey Songz headline A Night of Love at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on Saturday, as part of the ongoing North 2 Shore Festival. They’ll be joined by “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” alum K. Michelle and New Jersey native Jaheim. Tickets start at $60.
And just a few minutes away at Caesars Hotel and Casino, North 2 Shore presents Rahway, New Jersey’s own Eric Roberson and Chester native Avery*Sunshine. It promises to be a night filled with smooth soul grooves. Tickets start at $49.50.
North 2 Shore Showcase Stage and Artist Village
North 2 Shore will also feature up and coming Atlantic City talent on its Showcase Stage at the Orange Loop Festival Grounds on New York Avenue.
Hosted by comedian Michelle Tomko and broadcaster “AC Mike” Lopez, the two-day showcase features Galloway, New Jersey’s Mara Justine (from NBC’s “The Voice”), pop-punk band Jersey Calling, funk-soul duo Open for Business and many more acts. It’s all free to attend.
