Baby Parade

WHERE: Congress Street and Beach Avenue, Cape May
DETAILS: A parade full of babies? It’s the cutest event of the season! The 90th annual Cape May Baby Parade also includes awards in five categories. Don’t let the name fool you, children age 12 and under are welcome to participate in the parade. Families will have until July 27 at 4:30 p.m. to register.

5k Beach Race
DATE/TIME: Saturday, July 29 at 8:30 a.m.
WHERE: Heather Road, Wildwood Crest
DETAILS: Lace up for the Wildwood Crest 5k. Don’t worry, you don’t have to run if you don’t want to. There’s a separate family-friendly one-mile walk or run. The event includes post-race awards and refreshments.

Phillies Youth Home Run Derby
DATE/TIME: Sunday, July 30 at 9 a.m.
WHERE: Dealy Field Recreation Complex, 6108 Central Avenue, Sea Isle
DETAILS: Batter up! Children ages seven to 12 will have a chance to compete in a batting competition for fun prizes and a chance to swing at the Home Run Derby Championship at Citizens Bank Park later this year. Participants can bring their own equipment, but it will be supplied as needed.

Dutch Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard Races
DATE/TIME: Friday, July 28 at 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Lincoln Avenue Beach, Wildwood
DETAILS: Everyone is welcome to watch the 53rd annual beach patrol competition between 15 South Jersey Beach Patrols. Each team will compete in paddling races, rowing, swimming and running. There will also be alumni awards at the end of the awards ceremony.

Jus Sneaker Convention
DATE/TIME: Saturday, July 29 from 12 to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
DETAILS: Calling all sneakerheads (or sneaker enthusiasts). The Jus Sneaker Convention is the place to be for streetwear. Buy, sell and trade the most sought-after sneakers, clothing, collectibles and trading cards in the game. There will also be special guests and local musicians.

Margate Business Association Wine Tasting

WHERE: Margate Recreation Fields, 1 Edgmar Circle, Margate
DETAILS: We got you covered if you ever needed an excuse to dress fancy. The 20th annual MBA Wine and Spirit Tasting is happening this weekend. There will be a silent auction where you can bid on everything from Phillies tickets to Botox treatments. The event also includes local eats and live music.
