PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend in Philly: Hop into the weekend with a roster full of Easter celebrations. If strutting your stuff on South Street with the Cottontails isn't your cup of tea, grab a pair of bunny ears for a festive bar crawl in Fairmount, or, visit the Peeps wall art, sculptures and dioramas on display at Peddler's Village.

EVENT: 89th Annual Easter Promenade

DATE/TIME: Sunday, 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Starts at 5th and South streets

DETAILS: Join Mr. and Mrs. Cottontail and their fuzzy rabbit friends for this family-friendly Easter tradition. There will be a best dressed contest for humans of all ages and animals alike with egg-cellent prizes.

PRICE: Free to attend

EVENT: Bunny Hop Bar Crawl

DATE/TIME: Thursday, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

WHERE: Bishop's Collar, Black Taxi, Fare, Urban Saloon in Fairmount

DETAILS: After two years, the Bunny Crawl in Fairmont is back. Pick up a pair of ears at one of the participating bars and enjoy drink specials all night long. The proceeds go toward eight different charities.

PRICE: $10 for bunny ears, then pay as you go

EVENT: Peeps in the Village

DATE: Through April 24; closed on Easter Sunday

WHERE: Peddler's Village, 100 Pedler's Village, New Hope

DETAILS: Peeps are back on display for a third year, with more than 90 colorful creations of wall art, sculptures and dioramas.

EVENT: Festival of Colors

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Philadelphia Zoo, 3400 W. Girard Ave., West Philadelphia

DETAILS: The Philadelphia Zoo and the Council of Indian Organizations present a Holi celebration with Indian music, dancing, food and more. Holi celebrates the arrival of spring, and it's a festive day to meet others, repair broken relationships, play and love.

EVENT: Spring Fest at Bartram's Garden

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: Bartram's Garden, 5400 Lindbergh Blvd., West Philadelphia

DETAILS: Celebrate the arrival of spring with the garden's annual festival, featuring a plant nursery sale, local vendors, garden tours, activities for the kids, bike rentals, fishing and more.

EVENT: Furry Friends of Frankford Ave Pet Festival

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

WHERE: Philadelphia Brewing Co., 2440 Frankford Ave., East Kensington

DETAILS: Come out this Cat-urday for a special adoption event and festival. Meet adoptable PSPCA felines from 12 to  3 p.m., shop more than 15 pet vendors, and grab a brew from Philadelphia Brewing Company.

EVENT: PARK 101: Intro to Dragon Boating

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Dragon Boat Dock, 1233 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., West Philadelphia

DETAILS: No paddling experience is needed for this introductory course into dragon boating. A dragon boating team consists of 20 paddlers who propel the boat to the beat of a drum. The Chinese tradition dates back to the 5th or 6th century. 

PRICE: Pay what you can starts at $20

EVENT: Saturday Social Ride

DATE/TIME: Saturday; meet at 11:30 a.m., ride at 12 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at Kayuh Bikes, 1900 Girard Ave., Francisville

DETAILS: The crew at Kayuh Bikes & Cafe head to the Southeast Asian Food Market in FDR Park for a picnic. Join the 12-mile bike ride at a leisurely commuting speed, and be sure to bring a helmet.

PRICE: Free, but bring cash for food
