
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Last chance! A few wintry activities are wrapping up this weekend, including some of the city’s beloved ice skating rinks.
Also nearing the end is Black History Month. Several landmarks, like Battleship New Jersey and Shofuso Japanese House and Garden, are hosting related events. Plus, it’s a jammed-pack weekend at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Find out why below.

EVENT: The Black Dragon’s Sailors Tour

DETAILS: Learn about Black sailors in the Navy on this special walking tour and how their roles changed over time. You will be able to see spaces on and off the tour route where the Black sailors lived and worked.

DETAILS: In collaboration with BlackSci-Fi.com, the Japan American Society of Greater Philadelphia presents an afternoon of exploring the cultural and historical intersections of African-American and Japanese communities.

EVENT: The African American Children’s Book Fair

WHERE: Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th and Arch streets, Center City
DETAILS: The African American Children’s Book Fair is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an in-person book fair. Artists and illustrators of some popular children’s books will be attending to give presentations and autographs. A variety of books will also be available for purchase.
