Keith Jones on why he took job as Flyers president: 'Philadelphia fans are only reason I am still here'

Keith Jones was asked why he took the job as President of hockey operations for the Philadelphia Flyers by 94WIP's Glen Macnow and Mike Sielski.

"Because the fans of Philadelphia are the only reason that I am still in Philadelphia," Jones told Macow and Sielski. "The way they accepted me, not just Flyer fans but fans of all professional sports—and much of that through the radio and working at WIP with Angelo have made this my home and have rewarded me with great things in my life because of their affection for me and the way that they've made me feel in being a part of the fabric of this community.

"I feel like this is a great opportunity to, number one—it's a job of a lifetime for me. And number two to give back to the people that have been so great in helping me achieve what I've been able to achieve so far in my life."

Jonesy, 54, played his final two NHL seasons with the Flyers from 1999-2001 and was a co-host on the Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show from 2002-2023.
