With free agency set to begin today, here are seven tight ends the Eagles could target in free agency, especially if Dallas Goedert is traded.
Evan Engram, Jaguars
Age: 30
Stats: 9 games, 64 targets, 47 catches, 365 yards, 1 TD
Why: 108 games of experience. Was pretty healthy from 2020-2023, but missed time in 2024. 1st round pick that hasn’t really lived up to the hype but has played for bad teams consistently. Drops have been an issue (6.3% for career). Great blocking grade
Harrison Bryant, Raiders
Age: 26
Stats: 13 games 12 targets, 9 catches, 86 yards, 0 TD, 213 snaps (25%)
Why: Was on the come up from 2020-2022, getting as high as 31 catches for 239 yards in 2022. 7 TD his first 3 seasons. Then fell off in 2023 with Browns, who were awful, and in 2024 the Raiders drafted Brock Bowers. Bad blocking grade
Luke Farrell, Jaguars
Age: 27
Stats: 17 targets, 12 catches, 67 yards, 0 TD, 390 snaps (38%)
Why: Great blocker. 36 catches in 4 years. 6-5, 250 pounds
Hunter Long, Rams
Age: 26
Stats: 9 targets, 7 catches, 60 yards, 26% of snaps
Why: Former 3rd round pick that has been a backup. Never played more than 26% of snaps (last year). Only over 100 total snaps once in 4 years. 6-foot-5, 243 pounds. Good blocking grade
Kylen Granson, Colts
Age: 26
Stats: 31 targets, 14 catches, 182 yards, 40% of snaps last year
Why: Had 30 catches on 50 targets in 2023 for 368 yards, 1 TD. 300+ yards in 2022 and 2023. 4th round pick. Has been with bad Colts teams with bad QBs. Has been 40% or more snaps the last 3 seasons. Good blocking grade
Irv Smith, Texans
Age: 26
Stats: Nothing in 2024 bc only 5 games. 26 targets, 18 catches, 115 yards, 1 TD in 2023.
Why: 2nd round pick in 2019. Injuries have been an issue. Only 5 games in 2024, 8 in 2022. Missed 2021. Bad blocking grades
Quintin Morris, Bills
Age: 26
Stats: 8 targets, 5 catches, 36 yards, 1 TD. 21% of snaps.
Why: Hasn’t played a ton and has been behind an elite TE. 22 targets, 15 catches for 146 yards and 3 TD in his career. Has been healthy. Good blocking grade
