After three years in the making, P!nk’s ninth studio album, Trustfall, is now available and features the Pop star’s most vulnerable music to date. Digging deep around some of the toughest years of her life, the mother-of-two uses her life experiences to take fans on the best kind of emotional journey, while striving to better herself as an artist, songwriter, and performer.

“I like to push myself, I want to be the best,” she shared with Audacy's Mike Adam. “I want to be the best that I can be, not the best that ever did it. I want to be the best that I can be in this one precious life.”
While regularly pushing herself, she also encourages others to be their best, which leaves her little tolerance for hate and a strong desire to use her platform to fight injustice. Fighting that fight is something the 43-year-old sees as a responsibility being in the spotlight, but it has also been the catalyst for some interesting conversations with her 11-year-old daughter, Willow.
“She [Willow] asked me recently why I fight, and that was an interesting conversation between the two of us,” she shared. “We get death threats and all kinds of things — there’s a lot of opinions — and I had to explain to her about helping people. You have a responsibility if you have a platform.”
She continued, “[We discussed] rights and the suffragette movement and racial inequality — I think these are conversation that every parent should have to have, not just the ones it affects.”

All about fighting the good fight, P!nk isn’t shy to call out her own industry for flaws, especially when it comes to women in the music industry.
“It’s not perfect,” she said of the modern-day business. “It’s interesting because I’m over here, I’m over here doing this. I don’t know exactly what young girls are going through now… But I see girls like Lizzo and Billie Eilish and so many just doing it their way and running it, running the game. I imagine that it must be different, but we’re still pitted against each other, everybody still wants a feud, and that sucks because it’s not what it’s about.”
She dove right into an example from a recent interview where instead of being asked about her own work, she was asked to comment on the appearance of another female artist.
“They’re still saying in an interview to me — where I just worked for three years on my heart and soul of a project… My father died and I was able to put a song together about it — and you’re asking me what I think about Madonna’s face? That is not progress,” she stated. “We shouldn’t be talking about Madonna’s face, we should be talking about all the badass s*** that woman did for the rest of us to come along after her. That’s not progress, that’s clickbait.”
Quickly getting back to the music, P!nk expressed her excitement for the announcement of a fresh tour, The Trustfall Tour, set to hit arenas this fall following her previously announced 2023 Summer Carnival Stadium Tour. General ticket sales begin February 24 at 10AM local time. Find tickets here.

“I look at performing as group therapy,” she said. “I wanted to be a social worker when I was little and now I feel like we’re kind of all in this group therapy deal… Music is medicine and I’m being very, very vulnerable and very honest in my songwriting and it resonates with people. We’re all having this terribly awesome human experience. We get to cry together and heal together — it’s f***ing beautiful.”
