Are you more of a Joey or a Chandler? Lisa Kudrow, despite playing Phoebe on “Friends,” is actually a Rachel.
On an appearance on “The Late Show” this week, the 57-year-old actress shared that she took an online personality quiz to find out which “Friends” character she is most like, and despite trying to game the system to get Phoebe, she ended up with Jennifer Aniston’s character as her result.
While Kudrow mused that would not be retaking the quiz, she did confide in Stephen Colbert that she was drawn to the character of Rachel when she first auditioned for the hit sitcom.
“I just went, ‘Oh, that's like a Long Island JAP, that could be hilarious. I can identify with that more. But they said, ‘No, no. Phoebe,’” she shared before joking that when she was working on “Friends” she thought there was no end in sight for the beloved comedy.
“I thought ‘this could go on forever.’ Then I did an HBO show called ‘The Comeback’ and went ‘well this can go on forever’ and they canceled us immediately!” she said with a laugh.
Kudrow and her “Friends” colleagues reunited recently for an HBO Max special that will air on Thursday, May 27.
Along with a script read-through, the special promises a chat with the cast moderated by James Corden, as well as special appearances from former guest stars like Tom Selleck, Elliott Gould, and Reese Witherspoon.
