Carey, along with her 10-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, made a surprise visit to a McDonald’s in Aspen, CO to enjoy the exclusive Mariah Menu. The menu is a collab between the Pop star and chain to provide fans with 12 days of free menu items with a minimum $1 purchase via the McDonald's app.
Mariah and fam first arrived in the drive-thru where Monroe decided to prank the employees by being a difficult customer with an aggressive accent. “Hi, how are ya? I want a beanie and T-shirt from the Mariah Menu and I'll also have a Big Mac with some chicken strips whatever you guys sell here,” she said into the drive-thru speaker.
“Um, I actually can't understand you,” replied the employee. “Can you order at the window? I apologize.”
Monroe responded, “Um, no. Hello?”
After realizing it was a prank, the frustrated employee said, “Can you please just leave the store and never come back? Thank you very much.”
That was just the beginning of the pranks, as Mariah’s assistants went inside to have their own fun and attempt to order a Big Mac with coffee in Portuguese.
After receiving the “OK” from her team to enter the restaurant and having a motherly moment with her kids in the car, reminding them to be humble, Mariah stepped out in a floor-length, glittery, red gown with plunging neckline and a black, rhinestoned face mask.
“I hope I'm not overdressed,” she joked, walking into the store.
Mariah’s presence sent the employees into shock as they asked for photos and shook her hand.
Mariah signed off with a message to her fans saying, “Listen, this was so fun and spontaneous. If I were a little kid, dreaming of this, I never would have thought that it would happen. Merry Christmas, I love you.”
The Mariah Menu is available at participating McDonald’s through December 24.
