"It's time," you guys. even though she's well aware "we still gotta get through Thanksgiving," the Queen of Christmas has made her declaration.
In case you've missed it, Christmastime is a pretty big deal for superstar singer Mariah Carey. It's now November, and just like every season prior, she hasn't even let the candy corn get stale before announcing the most wonderful time of her, and her fans' year.
Mariah smashed into the holidays with a new video posted to her social media at midnight, November 1, armed with a candy cane-striped baseball bat. With a big smile, she busts up the middle of three pumpkins carved with the phrase "It's Not Time" -- all set to her holiday classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You," of course -- to let us know exactly what time it is.
Mimi teased us with a touch of her surging spirit on October 20 with a cute video showing that she (and her fans) were already breaking out the boxes of jingle bells and shimmering sweaters. Now she's laid the gavel down like the boss that she is and has made the official proclamation -- "Let's go!"
Sure, Thanksgiving is still a whole month away but in her announcement this morning Mariah also teased a possible new release on November 5 on one of the presents under her tree. So, while you "smash that pumpkin and treat it as pie," like her video concludes, it looks like we'll have plenty to be thankful for around the table this holiday season.
