"They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research," Minaj tweeted Monday. "I’m working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one."

The star-studded Met fundraiser returned Monday night after a coronavirus-induced hiatus. Under city guidelines, the gala is requiring guests to show proof of vaccination in order to attend. Facemasks are also going to be required indoors.

Studies have shown the coronavirus vaccines are remarkably safe and are effective at preventing serious illness.
