Last night, the Hollywood Bowl was hit with a blast of 90s Pop energy, thanks to Chris Martin and Mel C, aka Sporty Spice.

During Coldplay’s vivid closing set at Audacy’s eighth annual We Can Survive show, Martin called on a little help from a fellow Brit, who just so happened to be a member of the Spice Girls.

Half way through Coldplay's run of hits and new tracks from the band’s latest album, Music of the Spheres, the frontman paused to introduce a friend and the crowd went wild. As Mel C and Martin joined in harmony together, the duo delivered an acoustic rendition of the Spice Girls’ “2 Become 1.”

Both artists joked about the intensely sexual nature of the song, but totally fulfilled the crowd’s Brit Pop dreams. Additionally, Martin shared that he called on Mel C for this small little favour just hours before the show. Thankfully she agreed!
