What a night! Olivia took us on an emotional journey through spring, summer, summer, autumn and winter.

As soon as she awoke on stage among her springtime flowers the United Center exploded with energy and the crowd went wild, myself included. The stage was covered in beautiful flowers, and the entire performance was divided into different seasons, each with its own look, feeling and energy.

One of the coolest elements of the night was seeing the glowing LED bracelets lighting up throughout the United Center. Thousands of lights moved and changed along with the music, creating a special sparkle that made the entire arena feel like part of the show. It was an incredible sight and made the concert feel even more magical.

Olivia Rodrigo really sang her heart out! She sang with so much meaning and passion and was also incredibly grateful to her band and backup vocalists, and you could tell how excited she was to be performing in Chicago.

There was a genuine feeling of appreciation throughout the night for the people around her and for the fans who came to see her. At some points, it honestly felt like the audience was ten times louder than Olivia and her amazing band.

Act I: Spring

The show started with “drop dead,” and the energy immediately went through the roof. From there, Olivia performed “u + me = <3” and “so american.”

The crowd was on its feet almost immediately, singing along to every word.

Act II: Summer

The summer portion kept the energy high with “my way,” “serena joy,” “bad idea right?” and “ballad of a homeschooled girl.”

Olivia completely owned the stage during songs like “bad idea right?” and brought an incredible amount of personality and attitude to the performance.

Act III: Summer Twilight

The mood shifted with “vampire” and “purple.” This part of the show felt more emotional and dramatic, showing another side of Olivia and the album.

Act IV: Autumn

The autumn section brought even more emotion with “stupid song,” “maggots for brains,” “traitor,” “begged,” and the tour debut of “Can’t Catch Me Now.”

Then came “cigarette smoke” in a rock version that brought the energy right back up.Olivia could go from vulnerable and emotional to completely rocking the stage in a matter of seconds.

Act V: Winter

The winter section was one of the most memorable parts of the entire show.

Olivia performed “honeybee,” “favorite crime,” “drivers license,” “less” and “the cure.”

During “the cure,” Olivia stood beneath the rain wearing a beautiful white dress. As the performance continued, the dress slowly began to come apart and eventually seemed to completely dissolve. Underneath, she revealed a sparkling red leotard!

It was SO cool!

The entire moment felt like watching one season transform into another right in front of us. The combination of the rain, the lights, the glowing bracelets throughout the arena and Olivia’s incredible performance created one of the most visually amazing moments of the night.

It also perfectly captured the emotions of the album… Anxiety, sadness, heartbreak and, ultimately, pure joy. Hearing those emotions live elevated the experience tenfold.

Olivia also became emotional during some of the more heartfelt moments of the show, including “you seem so sad for a girl so in love.” You could really feel the emotion in the room.

And then she would turn around and completely rock the stage with songs like “good 4 u” and “brutal.”

The Encore

Of course, Olivia couldn't leave without one more huge burst of energy.

The encore included:

“deja vu”
“all-american b*tch”
“expectations”

By this point, everyone was singing, dancing and celebrating together.

Olivia Rodrigo had the entire United Center on its feet and dancing the night away. The combination of the music, the incredible visuals, the changing seasons, the rain, the sparkling costume reveal and thousands of glowing LED bracelets made the entire arena feel alive.

This was truly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
