"Happy Gilmore 2" is a go.

Drew Barrymore shared a video on Instagram from an upcoming episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," where she breaks down asking her former "The Wedding Singer" co-star Adam Sandler if a sequel was in the works for his 1996 hit golf comedy.

All she would reveal in the clip is that she got confirmation the movie was "in process."

"I want it. I need it," Barrymore said.

The talk show host initially told her audience she was waiting on a response from Sandler, "waiting to see if he's confirming about the 'Happy Gilmore 2' script." She then got a response with the breaking news, much to the crowd's delight.

News of a sequel came after another "Happy Gilmore" star, Christopher McDonald, told Audacy's 92.3 The Fan that Sandler had showed him a first draft of the script.

Barrymore and Sandler have appeared together in "The Wedding Singer," "50
First Dates," and "Blended."
