Coming off a stellar performance at the Tokyo Olympics, U.S. gymnast Suni Lee will now test her floor skills doing the cha-cha and other routines with a professional dance partner.
The 18-year-old St. Paul native took home a gold medal in the women’s gymnastics all-around event, a silver medal in the women’s team competition, and a bronze medal for her performance on the uneven bars.
Also making a bid for the Mirrorball Trophy is YouTube sensation and former “Dance Moms” star JoJo Siwa.

The 18-year-old, who revealed she is a member of the LGBTQ+ community earlier this year, is set to make history for being part of the show’s first same-sex partnership. Siwa will be paired with a female dancing pro.
"To be dancing with a girl, I think it's so cool," Siwa said in an Instagram video. "I can't wait to meet my partner!"
Lee and Siwa will be joined by 13 other celebrity contestants, which are scheduled to be revealed on “Good Morning America” on September 8th.
The upcoming season will also see the return of veteran judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman, and Derek Hough.
Supermodel Tyra Banks, who took over hosting duties last season from Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, is also back to lead the series.
Season 30 of “Dancing with the Stars” premieres on Monday, Sept. 20 at 8pm ET/PT.
