Amazon has finally revealed the dates for its annual massive online sale.
Amazon Prime Day normally takes place during the summer and this year is no different. While the retail giant previously disclosed this year’s event would take place in July, they hadn’t announced the specific dates until now.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?
Amazon has confirmed that Prime Day 2022 will take place on Tuesday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 13. The 48-hour event launches at 3am EDT on July 12.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon launched Prime Day in 2015 as an exclusive opportunity to give Prime members huge deals. The day was originally a July event. In 2020, the company delayed it until October amid the pandemic and made it a two-day sale. Last year, Prime Day took place in June.
This year’s event promises to be larger than ever. “Customers will be able to shop products from top national brands and more third-party sellers than last year’s Prime Day, including many small and medium-sized businesses, '' the company said.
How to get ready for Amazon Prime Day 2022
The shopping event is only available to Amazon Prime members. If you haven’t already subscribed, sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. Membership will let you shop the sales and get free shipping. A monthly membership costs $14.99 plus tax after the trial. Students can get a 6-month trial membership for half the price, $7.49 a month.
How to shop early Amazon Prime Day deals
Customers don’t have to wait to save until July 12. Early deals and new, member-only offerings start June 21.
Among the early deals are savings of up to 55% on select Amazon devices, including Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen) and Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen) Kids, Kindle Paperwhite, and Amazon Glow with Tangram Bits. Starting at just $89.99, Fire TV smart TVs from brands including Toshiba, Insignia, Pioneer, and Amazon will also be on sale beginning June 21.
