After getting teases throughout the month of three fresh tracks from the Foo Fighters' forthcoming album, But Here We Are, their first collection of new music since the passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022, fans can now take a closer look at the record's minimalist artwork and dedication.

In a post shared on Instagram by Morning Breath Inc., the Brooklyn-based art studio that designed the physical packaging for But Here We Are, fans can now swipe through images of the crisp white-on-white design on cassette, CD, and vinyl.
“It’s always an honor," to work with the Foo Fighters, their caption states. "Definitely a new turn for us as we explored minimalism and new techniques...” But there's one photo that is of marked interest, showing the album’s dedication, which states: “For Virginia and Taylor.”
Taylor, is, of course, late drummer Taylor Hawkins, who joined the band in 1997 and had become an integral part of the Foo Fighters' legacy before his tragic passing in 2022 while on tour in South America.
Virginia, mentioned in the dedication, is assumed to be frontman Dave Grohl’s mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl, making this his first public acknowledgment of her passing. While no official announcement had been made, fans have said Dave's daughter, Violet Grohl, had shared the news of her death on her personal Instagram Live.
The new Foo Fighters album, But Here We Are, is slated for release on June 6. The band will also be busy with festival and headlining tour dates this year, with their new drummer, Josh Freese, behind the kit.
