NFL Week 11 is here, and it’s the perfect time to spotlight bold player performances that could swing games—and bets. This week, we’re backing Nick Chubb to dominate the Saints' porous run defense and Anthony Richardson to exploit the Jets with his dual-threat ability. Here’s why these breakout performances are worth the gamble.
Browns RB Nick Chubb Goes Off For 100+ Rushing Yards & 2+ TD’s at Saints (+1450, BetMGM)
Since returning from his ACL injury, Chubb has faced three decent-to-tough matchups against the Bengals (11 carries, 22 yards), Ravens (16 carries, 52 yards) and Chargers (15 carries, 39 yards). Overall, he’s averaged just 2.7 yards per carry and has had to deal with uncertainty at the quarterback position. However, this could be the week that he breaks out; New Orleans has allowed 5.17 yards per carry to opposing running backs, most in the entire NFL.
The Saints have allowed the 7th-most rushing yards allowed to opposing running backs (113.3) and at even odds, the run game should be the focal point of Cleveland’s offense against another bad team. New Orleans will be without Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and more, so Cleveland’s defense should be able to keep things close, which should favor Chubb. Since Week 7, the Saints have allowed seven rushing touchdowns (most in the NFL) including two-touchdown games from Bijan Robinson, Chuba Hubbard and Javonte Williams.
Anthony Richardson Shines With His Legs vs. Jets, Rips Off 100+ Yards & TD (+2200, BetMGM)
After getting a vote of confidence, getting benched and then getting the starting job back in Indy, Richardson is expected to remain QB1 for the rest of the season, but needs to make a major statement against the Jets on Sunday. We all know that he needs to improve as a passer; his NFL-worst 44.4% completion percentage reflects that fact. This start at MetLife Stadium is just his second NFL outdoor start and it’s expected to be chilly and windy. Translation: he needs to show everyone exactly why the Colts selected him 4th overall in 2013 - his dual threat ability.
The Jets have had their fair share of tackling issues lately. In fact, some of their defensive stars publicly spoke out after being shown a presentation of how to properly tackle following a 20 missed tackle performance against the Cardinals last week. The Jets have the NFL’s worst missed tackle rate against running backs and Richardson is bigger, faster and stronger than a lot of pro running backs. While Kyler Murray only racked up 21 rushing yards on three carries last week, he found the end zone on two of those rushes and therefore gave Indy’s coaching staff some solid game film to study for this matchup.
