The TV chef and restaurateur has been in negotiations with the network over a contract renewal, as his current three-year deal is set to expire at the end of the year, the outlet wrote, citing insiders with knowledge of the talks.

According to these sources, Discovery, which owns Food Network, has reportedly ended the negotiations.

Flay’s reps and Food Network both declined to comment after a request from the outlet.

Flay joined Food Network during the channel’s first year of programming in 1994.

Since then, he has been a staple and his profile has risen as the host of series including the original “Grillin’ and Chillin’ “ as well as recent shows like “Beat Bobby Flay” and “Brunch at Bobby’s.”

He has also regularly appeared as a guest and competitor on a slew of popular Food Network series like “Chopped” and “Iron Chef America,” among others.

Flay is the owner and executive chef of several restaurants around the country, including Amalfi in Las Vegas, Gato in New York, and the chain Bobby’s Burger Palace, which has locations in 11 states.
