It’s no secret that when you’re job hunting, you have to make yourself stand out from the crowd.

That’s exactly what Josh Duhamel is cheekily doing after the news broke that his Netflix show “Jupiter’s Legacy” was canceled by the streaming giant.

The 48-year old actor posted a shirtless selfie Thursday of himself in character, captioning the Instagram snap “when you get dumped by Netflix and have to put yourself back out there.”

The caption for the photo, which shows the “Transformers” actor in full hair and makeup as his “Jupiter’s Legacy” character, also has the hashtag “sexy santa summer” and a not-so-subtle nudge to Hulu to consider giving Duhamel a chance.

The superhero show was the top original series on Netflix in its premiere week last month, making it the top streaming original series not just on the streaming platform but beating out all of the original shows on its competitors, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, reports The Daily Mail.

Despite that, show creator Mark Millar shared on Twitter that his next Netflix project will move away from heroes and focus on villains. “I'm really proud of what the team achieved with Jupiter's Legacy and the amazing work everyone did on that origin season. I've been asked a lot about what we're planning next with this world and the answer is to see what the supervillains are getting up to.”

The comic book writer and mind behind movies like “Kick-Ass” and “Captain America: Civil War” stated that “given where we’re going next, we’ve made the tough call of letting our incredible cast out of their show commitment as we continue to thoughtfully develop all realms of the Jupiter’s Legacy saga.”

While Duhamel may not have any more superhero TV shows in the pipeline, fans can catch him in the upcoming rom-com “Shotgun Wedding” with Jennifer Lopez.

The movie, which wrapped filming in April, was shot in the Dominican Republic and tells the story of an extravagant destination wedding gone wrong. It will hit theaters in June 2022.
