Pepsi is getting ready for summer!
The brand is adding a new drink to their beverage lineup, and it's got some tropical vibes.
Earlier this week, Pepsi announced a new flavor combination that's sure to tickle your taste buds! Get ready for... Pepsi Mango!
"Bright citrus and rich caramel notes of an ice-cold Pepsi create the perfect cola base for the ripe, juicy flavors that make mango so irresistible," Pepsi described in the press release.
"Mango is one of the most popular fruits in the world, and it serves as the perfect complement to Pepsi, creating an irresistible combination that our fans can enjoy everywhere throughout the year," Todd Kaplan, Vice President of Marketing for Pepsi said in a statement.
It will be available nationwide on Monday, March 22nd! Pepsi fans can enjoy the regular and zero sugar versions in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans or 20-ounce bottles at retailers like Walmart and Target.
While the new mango-flavored drink is Pepsi's first new permanent flavored cola in five years, the company did experiment with various limited-time only flavors recently.
In November, Pepsi launched an apple pie flavor cola that was only available via a contest. In December, the company unveiled a chocolate version of its drink called the “Cocoa” Cola – not to be mistaken for competitor Coca-Cola.
The flavor drew inspiration from hot cocoa, a staple drink during the winter months.
And last June, Pepsi launched their latest fruity flavor -- Pineapple Pepsi. Fans were treated to the iconic Pepsi taste with “a splash of pineapple juice.”
