Are you a fan of in-person or remote learning?
According to Good Morning America, a 9-year-old girl was overcome with joyous emotion after her mother shared the news that the girl would be going back to school after 358 days of remote learning.
The tearful moment was captured on video as Tarine Zanotto revealed to her daughter Clara, a fourth-grade student in Redondo Beach, California, that she would be returning to the classroom on March 3.
"Usually her reaction is screaming and jumping and she had the opposite," Tarine said. "She had the very emotional, deep cry."
During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March, Clara's school made the decision to close when she was in the third grade last year.
"She was staying positive," Clara's mother said. "She was anxious at the beginning like most of us were in the beginning. She learned techniques to cope with her anxiety ... we went through therapy."
Despite facing challenges with remote learning, Clara has done well learning on Zoom, and her mother expects her grades to be excellent.
"She was able to do a lot by herself," Zanotto added. "We count on how she really loves school. That helps a lot."
Clara's mother shared that several media outlets have shared her daughter's video getting upset about going back to school.
"It's spreading the love and it was so cheerful to see the school alive last week," Zanotto said. "The sound of the little backpacks rolling and he kids giggling -- that's everything."
Clara is now in hybrid learning mode, which means she participates in remote and in-person learning.
