Can you imagine trying to fall asleep, and then suddenly you see hundreds of spiders on your ceiling?

A mother in Australia made a shocking discovery - or nightmare - in her daughter’s room when she saw many spiders crawling on her daughter’s wall.

Claudia Domrose made the terrifying discovery in Sydney, Australia, reports 9 News in Australia.

The mother shared the video with her friend Peta Rogers, who sent the video after posting it on Twitter.

“Are you moving out now? Shall we burn the house down?” Domrose joked with her daughter in the clip.

Reports say that the spiders are believed to be baby Hunstman spiders.

Domrose said there were some spiders on the window, and then when she pulled some curtains, she found some more. Behind the curtain, on one side of the room, there were about 50 or 60 spiders. Domrose’s daughter then told her to look on the other side of the room, where a large group of them had gathered.

“We just left them there because they are baby huntsman, I actually like huntsman, so I was like, I’m not going to do anything,” Domrose said.

According to the Australian Museum, the spiders eat insects and are “famed as being the hairy so-called ‘tarantulas’ on house walls that terrify people by scuttling out from behind curtains.”

Rober Raven, an arachnologist at the Queensland Museum, told Australia’s ABC News that the infestation in the viral video was likely caused by rain following a heatwave.

“Spiders go looking for milder environments in terms of heat and humidity,” Raven said. “So inside a house it’s usually good. There’s usually some water around and they’ll gravitate to that.”

As for the spiders in the video, Domrose said they disappeared within a couple of days.
