Aersomith is right up there on the list of most influential rock bands of all-time, so it’s only fitting that an eclectic mix of artists will pay tribute to them.

Foo Fighters, Alice Cooper, John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr. will lead the way when Aerosmith is honored as the Recording Academy’s 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year. The tribute concert will also feature H.E.R., John Legend, Jonas Brothers, Emily King and Yola. Additional guest performers will be announced soon.

Aerosmith announced that they were the recipients of the award during their Vegas residency in October. The band from Boston is being recognized for their philanthropic efforts, which include frontman Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund for abused and neglected girls.

“As we continue to expand our services to people in need, we are thrilled to pay tribute to one of the most beloved bands of all time,” said Deborah Dugan, President/CEO of MusiCares and the Recording Academy. “Aerosmith has walked the walk when it comes to raising funds to impact music people in recovery. It is sure to be an amazing evening."

MusiCares provides a safety net for people in the music business in times of need and it considers the benefit concert to be one of the most prestigious events held during GRAMMY week each year. The 30th anniversary benefit gala honoring Aerosmith will be held on January 24th in Los Angeles.
