Milano posted a video addressing a social media troll that commented on one of her videos asking “did you forget to take your medication?”
Milano wasn’t having it and used the opportunity to speak out on supporting the use of medication to treat mental health. "First of all, no I did not forget to take my medication,” the actress said. “I take my medication every day. I have anxiety with complex PTS and panic disorder, so I take my medicine because I like to just be functional."
"I think it's time that we de-stigmatize medication from mental health like we've de-stigmatized say, I don't know, Botox. OK, thanks for listening."
Milano received a round of applause in the comments as she asked her followers, “can we try to get away from flippantly using mental health language as descriptors or insults?” In her caption.
