Hansel Robles is coming back.
As as was first reported by Univision, the free agent righty has agreed to terms with the Red Sox on a new deal. The 31-year-old pitched in 27 games with the Sox last season after being acquired at the trade deadline for minor-leaguer Alex Scherff.
After a rocky start in his first two outings with the Red Sox, Robles emerged as a solid bullpen option for Alex Cora, totaling a 3.30 ERA while striking out 33 and walking 13.
This will be the eighth major league season for Robles, who joins fellow right-handers Matt Barnes and Ryan Brasier in the back-end of the Red Sox' bullpen.
