In the future, if New Orleans Saints' head coach Sean Payton tells reporters that he hasn't seen a report on social media about who will start at quarterback for his team, you probably shouldn't believe him.

By the looks of things, Payton is very active on social media, even in the midst of the season.

Falcons' icon Roddy White tweeted Saturday that "Saints about to get the whip trying us with Taysom Hill at QB...we about to snack them." Well, apparently Payton caught wind of said tweet, and after the Saints defeated the Falcons 24-9, he went back and liked it:

Hill, one of the most polarizing players in the NFL, made his first career start Sunday. Though things weren't always pretty, the 30-year-old completed 18 of 23 pass attempts for 233 yards, while adding 51 rushing yards and two touchdown scampers.

Sunday probably didn't offer a definitive answer one way or another on whether Hill can become a franchise quarterback, but with Drew Brees on injured reserve, the Saints will have at least two more games to learn more about Hill's ability to play the position on a full-time basis. Given that the expectation remains that Brees will retire after the 2020 season, a chance to evaluate Hill may prove to be a blessing in disguise for Payton and company.
