After making a minor move earlier in the day (sending out the injured Bol Bol and PJ Dozier), Brad Stevens has reportedly made a bigger one ahead of Thursday afternoon's NBA trade deadline.
According to multiple reports, the Celtics are acquiring guard Derrick White from the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford and a first-round pick. Shams Charania was the first to report the deal, while the Boston Globe's Adam Himmelsbach was the first with the full details.
White, 27, is averaging 14.4 points, 5.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game this season. He started 48 of 49 games for the Spurs. He is signed for three more years after this with a salary of $16.4 million, $17.6 million and $18.8 million.
Richardson was averaging 9.7 points in 24 minutes per game this season, while Langford was averaging 4.7 points in 16 minutes per game.
