Didinger: 'I would not want to play the Cowboys'

Excluding the seventh-seeded Seattle Seahawks, Ray Didinger was asked which team he hopes the Eagles face in the divisional round of the playoffs out of the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants, or the Tampa Bay Bucs.

"I would not want to play the Cowboys," Didinger told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Thursday. "If you gave me a choice of the three, the Cowboys are the team I would least want to play. But I don't think that's going to happen. I actually think the Giants are going to beat Minnesota and I think it's going to be the Giants next week. Now, I may be wrong about that and the Giants are underdogs. All year I've just haven't believed in the Vikings. Now, maybe they are going to make me look silly and play great this postseason. You look at their record and say, 'Well, how can they not be good?' But, I just don't believe in them and I still don't.

While neither the Cowboys, Giants, or Bucs would be an easy matchup for the Eagles, Didinger admits the team he'd like the Eagles to face the most is the Giants.

"The Eagles have already beaten [the Giants] twice," Didinger said. "If I had my druthers, I would rather not have to try to beat a team three times in one season...and if I can avoid playing Tom Brady in the playoffs, I'll do that any time."

"Although I don't think it's going to be easy, I would rather play the Giants [than the Cowboys or Bucs]."
