Thank you Doug Pederson, again.
Pederson, now the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, is still helping the Philadelphia Eagles, as his team completed a 40-34 overtime upset of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, likely securing the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC for the Eagles.
So what did the Eagles do to thank their old Super Bowl winning head coach? They sent him and his staff cheesesteaks from a Jacksonville restaurant called Philly's Finest.
The Cowboys fell to 10-4 after their loss to the Jags, putting them 3.0 full games behind the 13-1 Eagles. Philadelphia needs to win just one of their final three games to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
As for Pederson and the Jags, well they have won three of their last four games and at 6-8 they find themselves just 1.0 game behind the 7-7 Titans for the AFC South division lead.
Pederson, 54, is in his first season as head coach of the Jags. Of course, he was the Eagles' head coach from 2016-2020, highlighted by a 2017-18 Super Bowl championship the city will never forget.
