Joe Giglio is slightly worried about the Eagles despite their 4-0 start, but former Eagles defense end Hugh Douglas believes the adversity is good for them, specifically for Jalen Hurts.
"The team that I've watched the first month of the season, if they play the way they have in the first month when they get to the hard part of the schedule, they're going to lose games," Giglio said on Monday's 94WIP Midday Show.
"To me, I would beg to differ," Douglas said. "I like the fact that my quarterback, my young quarterback, my fourth year quarterback has seen a lot of adversity in his four games. And there's a lot of people that are still questioning his ability and every week his does something a little bit more that gives me confidence that he can play well in tight situations.
"We like to have everything be comfortable. We want it to be you sit down, you get your little chips and salsa. You watch the game, you watch the Eagles beat the brakes off the [Commanders] and you feel good about yourself. Well guess what? I can tell you to a man because I've been on a lot of losing teams, the Eagles are everybody's measuring stick and every week that they have the type of games and play the type of games that they're playing, it's going to get harder and harder."
The Eagles are 4-0, but their four wins have come against the Patriots, Vikings, Bucs, and Commanders. Washington racked up 365 yards of offense and 31 points against Philadelphia and forced overtime.
Next up, the Eagles are 5.5 point favorites in Los Angeles against the feisty 2-2 Rams on Sunday.
