Jason Kelce joined the WIP Morning Show for his weekly spot on Thursday morning, and he started by giving the current Eagles team the highest of praise when it comes to their identity and potential after an eighth straight win.
Kelce raved about the physicality he saw from Philly against a dynamic Ravens team, which he believes bodes well for the team’s Super Bowl chances this season.
“When you can compete with those teams and really match that physicality, that is a surefire sign that you’re a legitimate football team,” Kelce said.
“When I think of bully teams, I think of the Steelers and Ravens, teams that are built to control the line of scrimmage in a physical and intimidating manner. The Eagles weren’t intimidated one bit. They matched and exceeded that physicality. I thought it was an enormously impressive victory.”
The Eagles defense shut down what had been a historic Baltimore offense led by Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, but Kelce raved about how Philly’s offensive line performed up front, which has helped Saquon Barkley inch closer to the single-season rushing record.
“Jordan Mailata…Mekhi Becton is an incredible athlete, and Lane Johnson is potentially the most athletic person I’ve seen next to Jason Peters,” Kelce said.
