Larry Andersen went off on Atlanta Braves fans throwing debris on the field during Saturday's Game 1 of the NLDS saying he hopes the national media realizes this game is not in Philadelphia.
"That's not good...I just hope that the national media will pay attention to this and understand that this game is not being played in Philadelphia," Andersen said on the Phillies' radio broadcast on 94WIP.
"This game is being played in Atlanta. Because I've heard enough about Philly fans, I'm sick of that."
Amen, LA. Amen.
The fans were reacting to a catcher's interference call on Braves catcher Sean Murphy, who admitted after the game that he felt it. The call allowed a run to score for the Phillies.
The Phils will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Braves on Monday night. First pitch is at 6:07pm on 94WIP.
