With the news that TV host James Corden will be ending his beloved run on The Late Late Show, we're looking back at some of our favorite musical moments behind the wheel with James and his famous friends!
Take a look at some of the best and brightest (and most unusual) Carpool Karaoke pairings from Corden & Co. below -- PLUS, listen and share your favorite music on Audacy's all-new Let's Get Social!
Adele
"Hello..? Hello, from the outside..." James and Adele let out all the feels during their 2016 holiday drive about London town -- singing some classic tear-jerkers as well as rapping along to Nicki Minaj's "Monster."
Cardi B
"Whoa, you could say that on TV?! OK!" Cardi B jumped in the passenger seat in 2018 for an amped up drive through the streets of L.A., discussing her Bronx, NY upbringing, ASMR, and terrible driving skills -- all while belting out her biggest hits.
Foo Fighters
"Yeah, I could probably fit you all in. Sure." With Dave Grohl up front, and Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee, Nate Mendel, and the late Taylor Hawkins in the back -- the Foo Fighters packed Corden's SUV in 2017 with their blasting sounds -- and even visited a music store for a quick drum lesson with Dave and Taylor and an awesome Rick Roll.
Rod Stewart + A$AP Rocky
"Anytime, just call me. I'm always here for you." Hot Rod Stewart and James Corden took a leisurely drive through Los Angeles in 2015, singing and reminiscing about the Rock icon's beloved hits -- until of course surprise guest A$AP Rocky joins the party for his collab with Stewart on "Everyday."
Billie Eilish
"Do you mind if we listen to some music?" A young Billie Eilish joined Corden for some karaoke just as her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was popping -- and she was visibly thrilled to be part of the action. Billie even broke out the ukulele, before taking James to her family home and handing him her pet spider. "I genuinely felt like we were becoming friends..."
Corden has officially announced his decision to end his almost decade-long Late Late Show run next year saying, “I’m so immensely proud of the show. I’m thrilled to be extending [for a year]... I always thought I’d do it for five years and then leave and then I stayed on. I’ve really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure." Luckily, we'll always have these incredible clips to keep us crooning in our cars!
