Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan told reporters on Monday that he has no intentions of making a hasty or emotional decision about the future of first-year head coach Urban Meyer, who's undoubtedly sent the franchise deeper into mediocrity.

The question is, will Khan exercise patience with Meyer for another season, or will he part ways with the college-turned-pro coach in a matter of weeks? As the speculation continues, CBS Sports NFL columnist Pete Prisco believes Khan's decision on Meyer should boil down to one critical component.

"It comes down to this question: is [Meyer] ruining the quarterback? And right now, the answer to that question is yes. So, unless they figure something out to fix that, I think you've got a problem," Prisco told The DA Show on Tuesday. "It's been a constant din of frustration. Just on and on it goes. And just simple things too, that show where he is as a coach...

"I just don't think he's well aware of what's going on around him, nor does he care about what's going on around him. It's been a disaster, there's no other way to describe it. I'm astounded they're even considering bringing him back. But they probably are because there's a lot of money at stake... He doesn't look invested into this. It doesn't look like he cares."

Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the first-overall pick in this year's draft, reached a new low point in the Jaguars' shutout loss to the division rival Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The Clemson product threw a season-high four interceptions -- all during the second half -- and is now tied with Joe Burrow for the NFL lead in picks (14) this season. Through 13 games, Lawrence has completed 58.2-percent of his passes for 2,735 yards and nine touchdowns.

Following the loss, Meyer denied a report detailing recent run-ins with players and assistant coaches, telling reporters, "if there is a source, then that source is unemployed." The report, written by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, says that Meyer and receiver Marvin Jones had a heated exchange during practice, and in another instance, Mayer belittled his assistants as "losers" during a meeting and forced them to defend their resumes.

Jacksonville (2-11), which has produced just one winning season since 2007, ranks 31st in the NFL in average points scored, 30th in average yards, 27th in average points allowed, and dead last in total giveaways.
