Aerosmith may be saying “Peace Out” from touring, but they aren’t done surprising their fans, as the band just announced their newest Greatest Hits compilation album.

While initially playing coy with their final tour announcement, Aerosmith has outright announced a new compilation album of 44 of their greatest hits from across their career. Songs like, “Dream On,” “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” and “Walk This Way” are of course featured, in addition to other underappreciated hits like “Jaded” or “Livin' On The Edge.” The songs are listed chronologically, with some live recordings thrown in-between, allowing the listener to hear the development of the band’s legacy.
According to their social media accounts, the compilation will be, “landing August 18th in multiple sweeping configurations including merchandise fan packs, new apparel, and accessory collections.” And they are wasting no time, as their official store has already been updated with the entire collection available for pre-sale.
Perhaps the most impressive release will be the Super Deluxe 4LP, which boasts, “stunning live photography and band photos across their entire career in premium book-style sleeves, plus four black and white lithographs.” The vinyls themselves are pressed on blended red and black wax, which results in each individual record being one-of-a-kind. But diehard fans beware, as the Super Deluxe edition can set you back about $180.
The exclusive and super deluxe editions of the compilation will be available only on the Aerosmith Official Store, while other retailers are set to release the standard, expanded and deluxe editions.
