“My heart swells up to think about my journey on this show,” Blake said after securing 19-year-old Nashville singer Grace West for his team. “23 seasons, and for the last person for me to hit this button for — I didn’t let it take over, I can’t show any emotion — but I did get a little bit shook-up.”

According to some stats read off by host Carson Daly, before Monday’s show, Blake had hit his red button 598 times over his last 23 seasons on the show and said “I’ve never heard of that song!” 204 times.

Shelton is the final remaining original judge from the show’s first season and a big win isn’t the only thing he’s hoping to bring home after his final season.

"I feel like they owe me a damn chair," Shelton told PEOPLE during a recent interview. "I mean, who else can sit in my chair? It's like the three bears — I don't want anybody else sitting in my chair. I'm gonna try to get that away from them. Maybe I'll have to buy it or something."

Going up against Blake for his final season are new coaches, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper, as well as returning coach, Kelly Clarkson.

“This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me,” he expressed in a post announcing his departure. “It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns. I’ve made lifelong bonds with [host] Carson [Daly] and every single one of my fellow coaches over the years, including my wife Gwen Stefani!”
