Ditching his recent braided look, Drake has started sporting a wavy slicked back do, and it’s giving drug lord chic, and major confusion.
Drake first debuted the new do on Instagram with a vacay photo dump captioned “Other than myself… everything has changed.”
Which he followed up with another series of pics. In the first three, Drake is seen at the roulette table of a casino, and the final slide shows him getting his hair rinsed and lathered. He captioned the series of candid pics, "Give this guy a name,” and that’s exactly what everyone from Justin Bieber to Quavo did.
Bieber went with, “Clarance Donovan aka steezeman deluxe,” while Quavo contributed, “RAZOR AUBREY RAMONE 🪒 aka SCOTT HALL.” Other creative ones included, “Wolf of 6 street 😂😮💨” from Kaash Paige and “A pimp named Papi,” courtesy of Anthony Hamilton Jr.
Naturally, the pics have gone viral and the memes soon followed.
If we’ve learned anything from Drake’s previous moves, he has a penchant for developing albums (and personalities) around his new looks. Ahead of the release of "Certified Lover Boy," Drake literally embodied the name of his album by etching a heart into his hairline for months. So obviously his slicked back do has people talking about what this latest look will bring.
