Prince William has officially received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Since testing positive for the deadly virus last year, the Duke of Cambridge announced on social media that he has received the vaccine.

"On Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. To all those working on the vaccine rollout - thank you for everything you've done and continue to do," Prince William wrote on the official The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge social media accounts.

Prince William received his shot at a public health facility run by the National Health Service at London's Science Museum, People reported.

In November, it was reported that Prince William had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the year.

Prince William didn’t reveal his diagnosis when he contracted COVID-19 because he didn’t want to alarm the public.

In March of 2020, Prince Charles confirmed that he also tested positive for the virus. The 71-year-old heir to the British throne self-isolated with “mild symptoms.”

His Clarence House office announced that the Prince of Wales’s wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, tested negative for COVID-19.
