Sharon Stone is receiving backlash after posting a comment that many fans are considering insensitive on Jonah Hill’s Instagram.
On Thursday, the “Superbad” star took to social media to ask his followers to stop commenting on his body, whether the comments are good or bad.
"I know you mean well,” wrote Hill, “but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body."
While most fans respected Hill’s polite request, Sharon Stone, 63, had a different response — doing exactly what Hill asked everyone not to.
"Can I say you look good cuz u do," the "Basic Instinct" star commented with a fire emoji.
Fans immediately came to Hill’s defense, with one fan saying, “He asked for no comments on his body. That meant none. It means his body, bodies in general, how they look, shouldn’t be a topic of conversation.”
“Reading comprehension just isn’t in the building for you huh,” another wrote.
Some fans asked Stone, “Did you read the post?” and “What did he just say??”
“You missed the ENTIRE point,” another person wrote.
Hill's sister, actress Beanie Feldstein, praised her sibling for the post, sharing applause emojis, while singer SZA replied, "Absolutely love you. Thank you!!"

The plea to fans follows comments the star, 37, made months ago about coming to accept his body. Last February, after seeing a Daily Mail article that included photos of Hill changing out of his wetsuit after some surfing in Malibu, CA, the actor opened up about his insecurities.
"I don't think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid 30s even in front of family and friends," Hill noted about the revelatory moment. "Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren't exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers."
He concluded, "So the idea that the media tries to play me by stalking me while surfing and printing photos like this and it can't phase me anymore is dope. I'm 37 and finally love and accept myself."
Hill, best known for his funny performances in movies like "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Superbad," has increasingly dabbled in directing, including his directorial debut, 2018’s “Mid90s,” and the Instagram series, “Un-Filtered,” which deals with bullying, something Hill is all too aware of from his youth.
