This upcoming Easter Sunday, VERZUZ is hosting yet another historic night to honor R&B legends. The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire are joining forces in a night of love, lust, and good ol' rhythym & blues. The matchup was announced on March 20.

It's no secret that we are absolutely going to have a grand time singing along to hits like Earth, Wind & Fire's "September" and The Isley Brothers' "For The Love Of You" while sitting on the edge of our seats listening to whatever tea may be spilt and stories that will be told. Check out top 5 things we are looking forward to and expecting for this VERZUZ battle.
5.We are looking for intentionality!
While we know EWF were fully aware of their mind, body and soul, this level of intention also needs to be in their curation. Don't play the hits all willy-nilly. Things have to align, just like the elements.
4.A mix of the old and new school
Did you know The Isley Brothers' "Between The Sheets" has been sampled over 140 times? In newer jams like The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Big Poppa," Pretty Ricky's "On The Hotline," Aaliyah's "Old School," and Jay-Z's "Ignorant S***." We're excited to see how they will bridge the generational gap live.
3.As a family...
In case you weren't aware, this is a family affair! As one Twitter user expressed, this night is giving "family reunion energy." Not to mention it's a generational Black pastime to show up and out on Easter Sunday. So, we want to show off your plates and dance moves.
2.The looks
Both groups are known for their style and we want to know who you'll be channeling that night. Will you still be rocking that church hat at 8PM or are you going for something more grown and sexy? Twitter has such interesting suggestions, so take a look. We especially can't wait to see what look Ronald Isley is bringing out of his closet.
1.Most of all, we can't wait for the Steve Harvey's reactions
Steve Harvey grew up on 'blue lights in the basement' music. If you don't know, you betta ask somebody. So, the fact he's hosting the VERZUZ will mean the memes will fly and his commentary will have us on the floor.
