The auction event, taking place from December 10 through 13 at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and online via Julien’s Auctions, will feature over 400 items from ONJ’s iconic wardrobe, as well as musical instruments, artwork, jewelry, memorabilia, and more. Newton-John passed in August 2022 at the age of 73 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
A few of the items fans will certainly be drawn to are the iconic leather jacket Olivia wore as Sandy Olsson in the final scene of the 1978 musical film Grease; her “Summer Nights,” “Physical,” and “Have You Never Been Mellow” record awards; the blouse she wore in her music video for her “Jolene” duet with Dolly Parton; handwritten lyrics; a turquoise Steinway baby grand piano, and more.
A portion of the auction proceeds will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, founded by Newton-John and her husband, John Easterling, which sponsors global research into medicinal plant treatments for cancer.
