The U.S. Postal Service will dedicate a new Purple Heart Medal Forever stamp on Oct. 4 at INDYPEX, a stamp collectors show in Indiana, to honor the sacrifices of the men and women who serve in the U.S. military.

The 2019 stamp, designed by Bryan Duefrene, features a purple border and a photograph of the medal and its ribbon taken by photographer Ira Wexler. William J. Gicker worked as the art director on the project.
