Every dog has its day and today is THAT DAY for military working dogs.
National K9 Veterans Day is celebrated on March 13, the official birthday of the US Army K9 Corps, which was formed in 1942.
Retired military working dog trainer Joseph White came up with the idea for the day as a way to honor the selfless service and sacrifice of the dogs who work alongside American service members.
The Department of Defense says there are more than 2,500 dogs serving the nation today. Here are some photos of them being their bada** and goofy selves.
