The Patriot Day 30x30 Challenge is designed to support individuals in reaching their total body wellness goals while honoring and remembering those that lost their lives on Sept. 11.

Founded in 2006, Hope For The Warriors has dedicated itself to restoring a sense of self, family, and hope for post-9/11 veterans, service members, and military families.

Participants are challenged to partake in an activity that positively benefits their well-being for a minimum of 30 minutes for 30 days while logging their activity.

Activities such as walking, hiking, biking, swimming, lifting, or HIIT workouts are all suggestions of ways to be involved with the challenge.

“It’s nice to see that there are both people with a military connection and without one coming together to do this challenge,” said Jenna McDonald, the Director of Physical Wellness, Sports and Recreation for Hope For The Warriors. “It’s a great sense of community even though people aren’t physically together doing their workouts.”

Participants are encouraged to register for the 30-day wellness challenge before or by Aug. 31 at hopeforthewarriors.org.

Individuals can log their daily activity through the website to maintain a cumulative total for the challenge. Twice a week, participants will receive emails that promote mind, body, spirit, connectivity, and overall personal well-being.

For $30, a 30x30 Patriot Challenge t-shirt is available during registration. The t-shirts will arrive at the end of the challenge.

“We at Hope For The Warriors constantly stress the importance of one’s well-being to the military families that we serve,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit. “Through this annual 30x30 Patriot Challenge, we aim to share some tips and tricks for military and civilian families to take a moment to focus on their own mental health, while understanding it’s different for each individual.”

Since its inception, Hope For The Warriors has served over 40,000 through a variety of support programs focused on health and wellness, sports and recreation, and transition.
