(670 The Score) -- The Cubs have placed reliever Steve Cishek on the 10-day injured list with left hip inflammation.
Cishek, 33, had struggled mightily of late, allowing runs in four of his past six appearances. He has a 3.58 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 54 appearances this season.
In a corresponding move, Chicago recalled reliever Dillon Maples from Triple-A Iowa. He'll be available when the Cubs play at the Reds on Saturday evening.
Maples, 27, posted a 5.63 ERA in 10 appearances across three stints with the Cubs earlier this season.
