Governor Gavin Newsom laid out health and safety guidelines for California schools as they reopen (or remain closed) for the 2020-2021 school year.
In an Instagram post (below), Newsom says that science is going to be the determining factor in whether a school can physically open or if/when it needs to close. He also makes it VERY clear that learning "must be non-negotiable" and schools "must provide meaningful learning" during the coronavirus crisis, but we also need to make health and safety a priority for students and teachers.
