Known best as the all-American girl on “Gilligan’s Island,” Mary Ann, actress, Dawn Wells, has died at 82.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, her publicist, Harlan Boll, confirmed her death, saying the actress "passed peacefully this morning, in no pain, as a result of complications due to COVID."

"With over 540,000 fans on her Facebook page and fan clubs across the U.S., her following has remained faithful," Boll wrote in a social media post about his client.

Actor Tina Louise, known for her role on the show as the saucy, sexy Ginger Grant, is the last remaining cast member.

Wells fell in August 2018. THR reports that when she revealed that she was unable to afford the hospitalization and rehab, a friend created a GoFundMe and raised. $197,000 for her.

"I am amazed at the kindness and affection I have received," she told Fox News. "I don't know how this happened. I thought I was taking all the proper steps to ensure my golden years. Now, here I am, no family, no husband, no kids and no money."

In a 2008 interview with the Television Academy Foundation, Wells said, "There hasn't been a Mary Ann on the air for I don't know how long. There hasn't been a good girl over 14, and Mary Ann was very much that.”

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in name to The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee, the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum or The Shambala Preserve, Boll said.
