California's Great America in the Bay has already set its 2021 reopening date for May 22 after it remained closed for all of 2020.
According to the Sac Bee, this is the first amusement park in the state to schedule a reopening date. Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Knott's Berry Farm remain closed.
California's Great America will reopen with limited capacity and guests will be required to wear face coverings, according to their website (via Sac Bee). Park visitors will also be limited to using credit/debit cards and other contactless payment methods throughout the park and need to pass a thermal screening to enter. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher will be turned away.
Do you feel like we'll be ready for theme parks to reopen by May 22 here in California, or do you think this reopening date will end up being postponed? Personally, I feel like 2021 will be just another repeat of 2020 until things really begin to settle down. That's just my opinion, though.
